Dr. Brice S. Jackson

Dr. Jackson is a 2006 graduate of Life University in Atlanta, GA. He is a Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology and a Fellow of the American Board of Brain Injury Rehabilitation. Dr. Jackson has been in private practice since 2006, treating children and adults with neurological problems such as autism, ADHD, concussion, chronic pain, migraine, dizziness, and vertigo.

Dr. Jackson has lectured and shared his experience in functional neurology with psychiatric facilities, public and private schools, occupational therapy facilities and parent groups in Virginia. Dr. Jackson is a member of the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation, Virginia Chiropractic Association, the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce, The Central Virginia Chapter of the Autism Society of America, and the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital Committee.

In his spare time, Brice enjoys playing with his 4 children.  He also enjoys reading, playing Ultimate, disc golf, and hiking.  Central Virginia is the perfect place to raise a family, indulge in nature's diversions, and maintain a healthy lifestyle!

Amy Short, OTA

Amy Short is a certified teacher and COTA/L who also has a son with autism.  His diagnosis motivated her to seek out health care professionals who could best help her son.  She was so impressed with Dr.Jackson and the Connections staff, she changed her entire career path in order to join the Occupational Therapy team at Connections.  Amy enjoys providing therapy to help patients recover from neurological injuries and to help those with developmental challenges reach their highest potential.

Katie McCall has been an Occupational Therapist for almost 10 years receiving her degree from Columbia University. Katie has worked in a variety of settings with different populations including pediatrics and adults. Katie has experience in sensory processing disorders, Autism, and other developmental delays. She has worked with patients with TBI, stroke, and other brain injuries. She is now working with a variety of patients in brain-based therapy to allow patients to reach their full potential. Katie has a passion for helping others and enjoys seeing progress and success with all of her patients. When Katie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her four-legged fur child.
