OUR FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENT
The goal of our functional assessment is to determine under-functioning parts of the nervous system. Every anatomical part of the brain serves specific functions. Our non-invasive evaluation looks at many of those functions (listed below). There is a strong likelihood that we will be able to improve an individual's symptoms if, upon evaluation, we see consistent dysfunction when we perform multiple tests of the same anatomical part.
Included in the Sensory, Motor, and Neurological Assessment:
- Balance and equilibrium
- Eye movements
- Vestibular canal integrity
- Proprioception (awareness of body position)
- Timing and coordination
- Sensory evaluation
- Core strength and stability
- Autonomic function
- Motor-skills milestones
- Gross-motor and fine-motor skills
- Muscle tone
- Gait analysis
- Primitive, postural and deep tendon reflexes
- Interactive Metronome Long Form Assessment
- HTS and PTS Assessments (Neuro-ophthalmology Programs)
Included in our assessment fee is a thorough report of findings, where individuals will be informed of the results of their or their child's testing, will have ample opportunity to ask questions, and will be given recommendations to correct the dysfunction that we may have found.
These results are the guiding factor in choosing which therapies will have the greatest likelihood of being effective.
Assessment fee $400
Includes: 1st visit - paperwork, sensory/motor and neurological exam. 2nd visit, if needed, will be a meeting with the director to discuss the findings of the assessment and receive a plan for care.
